Paul S. Kimsey, Esq.
Paul S. Kimsey is the founder and President of Kimsey Law Group and has extensive experience representing clients in cases involving disability insurance litigation, assault and battery, injury law, motor vehicle accidents, bad faith, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), wrongful death, premises liability, slip and falls and nursing home neglect and abuse. Martindale Hubbell has awarded Mr. Kimsey with an AV rating, which recognizes the highest levels of skill and integrity for an attorney.
A Florida native, Mr. Kimsey received his BBA degree from the University of Georgia in 1990 and, while in college, worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors from Stetson University College of Law in 1993, where he was a staff member of the Stetson Law Review. He served as a Judicial Intern under the Honorable Elizabeth A. Kovachevich, Chief Judge of the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida.
After practicing insurance defense law for several years, he now devotes his entire practice exclusively to representing injured and disabled individuals. He is admitted to the Florida Bar, all three Florida districts of the United States District Court, and the Federal 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Kimsey is also a Florida Bar Board Certified Mediator.
Mr. Kimsey is a member of the Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Carrollwood Community Bar Association, the Carrollwood Area Business Association, and he is an EAGLE Sponsor of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. He is a member of the Health Care and Disability Litigation Group of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and served on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association, where he was also on the Ethics and Professionalism Committee. Mr. Kimsey is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
He is a frequent lecturer on topics including disability insurance litigation, personal injury law, trial tactics, ERISA liens and set-offs.
Edward A. Doskey, Esq.
Edward A. Doskey is a partner at Kimsey Law Group dedicating his practice to representing clients in cases involving disability insurance litigation, bad faith, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), workers' compensation, employment law, labor law, COBRA disputes, injury law, motor vehicle accidents, nursing home abuse, premises liability, slip and falls and wrongful death.
Mr. Doskey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1993 from the University of Florida, and received his Juris Doctor in 1997 from the Boston College Law School.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Doskey was employed at the Boston College Legal Assistance Bureau, practiced with firms in Louisiana and Florida, and was a member of the Office of the Capital Collateral Regional Counsel for the State of Florida. He is admitted to practice in Florida, all three Florida districts of the United States District Court, and the Federal 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Doskey is a member of the Labor & Employment Law section of the Florida Bar, the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
